Coming soon: Video Client for iOS

Edgewood Services is glad to report that we at the final stage of completing the Video Client application for iPhone and iPad. It allows access to multicam digital video surveillance system, performing a great solution for security and real-time production monitoring.

Our customer, the international producer of multicam digital video surveillance systems, ordered development of Mobile Video Client for iPhone and iPad. According to the specifications, our developers ported application written in Java (Java ME platform) to Objective C (iOS platform), Java developer restored the program algorithm, Objective C specialist wrote drivers for the low-level processing video stream. The interface was adapted under the new opportunities of iOS platform. The challenging thing was to find and restore the algorithm of the program basing solely on the source code.

Video Client allows to view the live streaming video from a single camera or simultaneously from the multiple cameras. Up to 16 cameras can be broadcasted from the video server to iPhohe or iPad. The Video Client manages and keeps the profiles for multiple accounts and displays summary information.

As a result, functionally, the program remained the same, while the interface and product usability were improved. The iOS platform gave the user more advantages and control options, such as possibility to use touch screen and large display.

Soon enough our Video Client will be available for purchase in the AppStore.
